Contract Controller

Contract \| Part\-Time \& Full\-Time Opportunities \| Immediate Start

Pay: $90–$125 per hour, commensurate with experience

Go Fractional is seeking experienced Controllers for immediate contract opportunities supporting a variety of client organizations.

We're looking for experienced accounting leaders who can step into an existing organization, quickly assess its financial environment, understand its systems and processes, establish priorities, and independently provide the level of accounting leadership the organization needs.

Successful candidates will be comfortable working across different business environments, communicating directly with organizational leadership, and balancing hands\-on accounting work with higher\-level financial oversight.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary by client engagement and may include:

• Oversee accounting operations and financial reporting
• Lead month\-end and year\-end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting
• Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Establish, evaluate, and improve accounting processes, policies, and internal controls
• Identify and resolve accounting, reporting, and process issues
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other accounting functions as appropriate
• Manage accounting cleanup, transitions, and system implementations
• Coordinate with external CPAs, tax professionals, auditors, payroll providers, and other financial partners
• Provide accounting leadership and oversight to internal accounting staff
• Communicate financial information, concerns, and recommendations to business owners and organizational leadership
• Evaluate existing financial systems and workflows and recommend improvements
• Independently prioritize and manage client accounting needs

Qualifications

Required:

• Extensive professional accounting experience
• Previous Controller, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or comparable senior accounting leadership experience
• Strong command of accounting principles, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and close processes
• Experience overseeing or managing accounting operations
• Ability to independently assess an organization's accounting environment and establish priorities
• Experience with accounting and financial software
• Strong client\-facing and executive communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different client environments

Especially Valuable:

• Experience working across multiple companies, industries, or client environments
• Contract, outsourced, or fractional accounting experience
• Broad experience across accounting, ERP, payroll, expense management, reporting, and related software platforms
• Experience leading accounting cleanup, process improvement, system implementation, or organizational transitions
• Experience managing or developing accounting staff
• Experience working directly with owners, executives, Boards, or other organizational leadership
• CPA or other relevant professional credentials

Compensation

$90–$125 per hour

Final contract rate will be based on depth of Controller\-level experience, technical accounting expertise, breadth of software and systems experience, client\-facing and leadership capabilities, complexity of prior environments, and the requirements of the specific engagement.

Pay: $90\.00 \- $125\.00 per hour
