Position Summary:
United Structure Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented Controller to support the CFO in the supervision of the accounting team including monthly closes, financial reporting, setting policies and procedures, development of junior staff and various accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate must have a strong accounting/finance background with a mindset for process improvement and business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of project budgeting, cash flow forecasting, WIP analysis, overhead attributions, PNL and balance sheet management
- Own monthly AIA requisitions and compliance submissions including but not limited to certificates of insurance and MWBE/minority reporting
- Ensure timely, accurate month\-end, quarterly, and year\-end closings, and preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and relevant filings.
- Owns the monthly, quarterly, and year\-end close processes including detailed analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Collaborate with the Project Management Team to discuss the implementation, monitoring, and expenditure guidelines to ensure that projects remain within the allocated budget and costs are appropriately distributed
- Review and approve union and office payroll
- Perform ad\-hoc analysis and generate custom reports for the CFO
- Assist with union and workers compensation audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. CPA is a major plus
- At least 4\-7 years experience in accounting, finance, or FP\&A. Previous experience at a similar specialty contractor or union\-shop is a plus but not necessary,
- Candidate must have strong analytical aptitude and advanced spreadsheet skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Union payroll experience preferred
- Clear understanding of contract types and PLA compliance requirements
- Proficient in G702/703 formatted requisition billing
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with a keen attention to detail
Job Type: Full\-time
Pay: $175,000\.00 \- $225,000\.00 per year
