Senior Fundraising Consultant / Fractional Chief Development Officer (6\-9 Month Engagement)

The YWCA Berkeley/Oakland is looking for an experienced fundraising consultant to partner with our Executive Director and Board during a pivotal period of growth and transformation.

For more than 133 years, we have worked to eliminate racism, empower women, and strengthen our community through leadership development, workforce programs, mental health and wellness initiatives, and economic opportunity. As we navigate a challenging funding landscape, we're seeking a strategic partner who can help us build long\-term philanthropic capacity while preserving the programs our community depends on.

● We're looking for someone who can:

• Build and manage a major donor portfolio.
• Coach and engage our Board in relationship\-based fundraising.
• Partner with the Executive Director and Deputy Director on major donor cultivation and solicitation visits.
• Develop a corporate sponsorship and partnership strategy.
• Create individualized cultivation plans for high\-potential donors.
• Strengthen donor stewardship, moves management, and fundraising systems.
• Help position the organization to secure $250,000–$500,000 in major gifts and multi\-year philanthropic commitments (while recognizing that ethical fundraising professionals do not guarantee results).

● Ideal qualifications include experience with:

• Women's leadership and racial \+ gender equity organizations
• Alameda County, Berkeley, and/or Oakland government departments and legislators Racial equity and social justice nonprofits
• Major gifts ($10,000–$100,000\+) ✔ Corporate partnerships and sponsorships
• Board fundraising coaching and engagement
• Bay Area philanthropy and family foundations
• Building sustainable, multi\-year fundraising strategies
